Project Description

RAIN (Resilience through Affordable and Inclusive Weather Insurance) is Riwe's flagship programme bringing parametric climate insurance, early warning systems, and agricultural finance to smallholder farmers across Nigeria. Through a single unified platform accessible on basic mobile phones, farmers can enrol in insurance, receive real-time weather alerts, and access input loans without paperwork, long wait times, or an internet connection. RAIN is funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and co-financed by Stellar Development Foundation and Food Futures Africa.
